We are authentic coffee roasters from the San Francisco Bay Area, and we love what we do. Our Master Coffee Roaster, John Weaver, has been roasting coffee since 1980. Weaver worked side by side with Alfred Peet and Sal Bonavita as a roasting apprentice from 1980 to 1984. Weaver was then the Master Coffee Roaster at Peet's Coffee for 27 years, until he left Peet’s Coffee in 2007 to start our company with Renée Brown, Michael Brown, and Bryce Inouye.
We feature the Best Coffee, which benefits our customer in being delicious, healthy, and good for the environment. We believe in social responsibility, giving back to our local economy and global farmers. Locally, we donate a percentage of sales from three of our coffee's: Astral Blend Coffee to Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation, Hakrz Delight Coffee to Black Girls Code and Pride Blend Coffee to SF AIDS Foundation. We also donate pop up coffee shops to charity events across California. Globally, we source some of our coffee through Fair Trade Certified farms. The benefit to our customer is enjoying a delicious cup of coffee while giving back to local charities and global coffee farmers.
