Handcrafting exceptional coffee and tea for over 40 years, John Weaver began his journey under the guidance of two legendary coffee pioneers, Sal Bonavita and Alfred Peet, the founders of Peet's Coffee. Serving as Master Roaster at Peet's Coffee from 1980 to 2007, John honed his craft by roasting thousands of pounds of coffee daily and mentoring the next generation of roasters. Honoring Alfred Peet’s vision for John to create his own legacy, he founded Weaver's Coffee & Tea in late 2007, together with Renee Brown, Michael Brown, and Bryce Inouye.

The team at Weaver's Coffee & Tea are Social Entrepreneurs who believe in giving back to our local and global economy. Locally, we donate a percentage of sales from three of our coffee's: Astral Blend Coffee to Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation, Hakrz Delight Coffee to Black Girls Code and Pride Blend Coffee to SF AIDS Foundation.  We also donate our time and pop up cafes to charity events across California.  Globally, we source sixty percent of our coffee through Fair Trade Certified farms. The benefit to our customer is enjoying a delicious cup of coffee while giving back to charities and coffee farmers across the world.
