Handcrafting coffee and tea for more than four decades, John Weaver, apprenticed under two legendary coffee experts, Sal Bonavita and Alfred Peet, both founders of Peet's Coffee. 

Working as Master Roaster for Peet's Coffee from 1980 until 2007, John roasted tons of coffee daily and trained Peet's team of coffee roasters. It was Alfred Peet's wish that John would start his own company so in late 2007, John left Peet's Coffee to launch Weaver's Coffee & Tea, with Renee Brown, Michael Brown and Bryce Inouye.

The team at Weaver's Coffee & Tea are Social Entrepreneurs who believe in giving back to our local and global economy. Locally, we donate a percentage of sales from three of our coffee's: Astral Blend Coffee to Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation, Hakrz Delight Coffee to Black Girls Code and Pride Blend Coffee to SF AIDS Foundation.  We also donate our time and pop up cafes to charity events across California.  Globally, we source sixty percent of our coffee through Fair Trade Certified farms. The benefit to our customer is enjoying a delicious cup of coffee while giving back to charities and coffee farmers across the world.
