Five Fabulous Hot Coffee Cocktails

GINGERBREAD BREAKFAST COFFEE COCKTAIL

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz. Spiced and buttered Captain Morgan's rum**
  • 3/4 oz. Ginger syrup
  • 1.2 oz. Half and half Top with black coffee
  • Garnish with whipped cream and a ginger snap

**Buttered Rum:

  • 1 bottle Captain Morgan's rum
  • 4 oz. Unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp. Maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp. Granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp. Cinnamon 10 Cloves 

Instructions:

Place all ingredients except rum in a pot and bring to a simmer till butter is melted. Slowly stir in rum. Pour into a casserole dish and place in freezer for 35 minutes. Skim butter fat from surface. Pour through a fine mesh strainer.

CARAMEL IRISH COFFEE RECIPE

Ingredients:
  •  1 ounce Jameson Irish Whiskey
  • 1 ounce Baileys Irish Cream
  • 1 ounce butterscotch schnapps
  • 2 1/2 ounces coffee
  • Garnish: ​ whipped cream
  • Garnish: caramel

Instructions: 

  • Warm a mug or Irish coffee glass by pouring hot water inside.
  • Allow this to set for a few minutes, then dump the water.
  • Add all of the ingredients to the warm mug and stir.
  • Top with whipped cream and drizzle caramel on top.

MEXICAN COFFEE COCKTAIL

Ingredients: 

  • 1 Ounce coffee liqueur (I used Kahlua)
  • 1/2 Ounce tequila
  • 6 Ounces hot coffee
  • whipped cream
  • cinnamon (optional) 

Instructions:

  • Place 3 Tablespoons of ground coffee beans into the filter.
  • Pour coffee liqueur and tequila into coffee mug.
  • Add the hot coffee.
  • Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with cinnamon {if desired}.

COFFEE NUDGE COCKTAIL

Ingredients: 

  • 3/4 ounce dark creme de cacao
  • 3/4 ounce Kahlua
  • 1/2 ounce brandy
  • 6-8 ounces hot coffee
  • Whipped cream 

Instructions:

In order, pour the ingredients into a mug. Top with whipped cream.

Ingredients: 

  • 1/2 ounce vodka
  • 3/4 ounce Kahlua
  • 1 ounce heavy cream
  • 5 ounces hot coffee
  • Whipped Cream, to top
  • Maraschino cherry, to garnish

Instructions:

  • Pour the vodka, Kahlua and heavy cream into a coffee cup.
  • Slowly add the hot coffee, and stir.
  • Top with the whipped cream, garnish with the maraschino cherry, and serve.
